[Psytrance, hallucinogen style?]

good

not necessarily Posford style, but more IM style. Later IM, though, not the old classics. This is not a bad song, but I think it needs more depth. More sweeps would certainly help, and matching another synth to your bassline would be a good thing, too. No climax, but that works with this song. I'd say the best part was about 0:35-ish.
Good progression and stuff, but the end part turned annoying. There wasn't enough going on compared to the earlier part, and it was very "shallow", there wasn't any depth to the sound at all.
I find no problem with your samples, but the kick isn't a very psy-esque kick. Doesn't really fit perfectly with the synths. Needs more highs to sort of fill it out.

Great job though, just fill it out a little more.

i know what you mean about it being empty... tbh at the end i was just messing around with effects like the ring mod i used, and it kinda worked so i kept it there!
i Thought the new synth that came in at 0:27 sounded like hallucinogen so named it that! But its kinda weird that IM wer my fave band for like 5 years, and i used to listen to them absolutely tons, (they made me want to start making psytrance), so i guess some of their style has rubbed off onto me...
and about filling it out... that is really the thing i find hardest to do while making psytrance... i can never make it sound quite right :/ but i'll keep on trying!

Pretty Swell

Nice song you've got here. It has a pretty nice beat, and the synths you used were pretty awesome. I have to agree with the others, though, and say that you kinda broke the pace with the 2 pauses. You could use a "tape stop" glitch effect, and shorten the gaps to one beat. The glitch should cut of all the sound and sound kinda neat while the shortened break would help keep the flow going good. If you need a glitch effect plugin, try dBlue Glitch, it has some very nice effects, and it's freeware!

Love Goa/Psy and you, sir, are a master. This is a very unique sounding song. Not many people mix psy/goa and trance like this, and it came out pretty well. If I ever do a goa/psy mix, I'll give you a shout out :) Hopeku is g0d!

Good

That was pretty good, but you can do better. You call that Bass? Do some EQ work on it, it's WEEEEEAKKKKK. Play it in a lower octave or something. Please remove at least some of the vocals, they were annoying. Replace with synths or something exciting to fill the space, like a reverse crash or something.

This would have done better at a higher tempo, say 160 or something. The structure is extremely simple, too- you should layer a lot more synths on it, maybe some sort of pad if you could fit one.

My sub didn't even budge.

Great stuff

This is good. I totally dig Psy, and I love what little bit of it is in there. Good job. I feel like it was missing a lead, or something, though. It was just sort of a progression. I think it needed something to push it along a little bit more.

Otherwise, keep this sort of thing up. This is a very good start.

thank you for the review. this song was more ambient dark psy, so i think the lack of a lead was more appropriate. but i've always had a problem with leads, so adding one would have been a problem for me. besides, i consider leads to be more for goa. well, that's my excuse, anyway.

This is just incredible. I love how you added the subtle heartbeats in the middle of it. Just absolutely fantastic. Is this a live recording, or are you using VST's, and if so which ones?

Keep this up. I really think you struck gold here. My only suggestions would be some veeeery subtle strings in the beginning, and strengthen them at the end fior a more cinematic feel. Also, you need to add a final note. I was left hanging at the end there after the sudden silence. Otherwise there really is nothing that could make this song better.

As for the strings... maybe they would fit, but I didn't want to add anything unnecessary. The ending sounds normal to me.

Good

I like it, but this needs some mastering and EQ work. Intro was unnecessary. The offset... thing... that comes in at 0:24 is annoying. I would recommend changing it to somwthing else, or even removing it if you can't fix it. Make those fixes for a 9, master/EQ it for a 10.

And you seem to realize this, but make it longer for all our sakes.
